LEAD STYLIST, DESIGNER AND PUBLIC SPEAKER, CAROLYN WANG, brings the dynamic world of fashion straight to the DFW area, where she is known for her relatable and vibrant personality, as well as her extraordinary styling skills and being in-tune with the needs and wants of her clients. Carolyn not only works as the Lead Stylist for MING WANG, providing styling advice to Ming Wang’s vast array of customers, but she also acts as a Personal Stylist, working closely with each individual client to carefully craft looks best-suited to their lifestyle. Carolyn uses her passion for serving others by helping women select the right clothing that makes them look their best and most importantly, feel their best every day.
“Fashion can feel intimidating and confusing. With the correct knowledge of fit, fabrics, color and proportion, creating a wardrobe that works can be simple and even enjoyable.”
Wang’s experience as both a stylist and a designer has allowed her to simplify her clients’ shopping experience and leave them looking and feeling sophisticated yet comfortable, and above all…confident. Her approach is positive, sincere, and always tailored specifically to each client. Her impressive portfolio has created demand for her as a desired speaker on a variety of topics on the fashion spectrum, from mentoring students on fashion retail to talking to businesses about dressing fashionably on a budget.
Carolyn has always been interested in fashion and began sewing and designing clothing for herself and her friends in high school. Her art professor recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue an education in design, which led her to attend the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. This is where she met her future husband, Eric Wang. Eric then could see how talented and hard working Carolyn was and recommended that she apply to Ming Wang Knits, his family business that was based in New York. Carolyn was hired and worked part time throughout college and joined full time upon graduation. Carolyn thrived in the company and worked as an integral part of the family business. Five years later Eric and Carolyn would start to date and eventually marry in 2010.
While the New York Showroom still remains, in 2007, Ming Wang Knits moved its headquarters to Grapevine, Texas. Carolyn’s entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit led she and Eric to relocate with the company. By this time, she had been promoted to Senior Merchandising Director for Ming Wang. Though she loved her role, she still yearned to do more to fulfill her passion of helping women look their best, so she opened THE BRIDGE BOUTIQUE in Fort Worth. The boutique had great success for many years, helping women to dress and feel beautiful and confident. Once Carolyn and Eric decided to start a family however, adding a third full-time job of being a parent to her already full plate, led her to close the boutique to focus more on Ming Wang and her family. She has now transitioned into being Ming Wang’s Lead Stylist where she gets to help a countless number of women with styling tips, advice, public speaking and one-on-one consultations while still having time for the loves of her life – her husband and three little blessings, Malakai, Elijah and Isaac.
Her expertise as a stylist has been broadly recognized and she has appeared as a resident fashion expert on network TV outlets including Home and Lifestyle TV, Fox 2 in Detroit, Good Morning Texas, and New York Live. Carolyn has also been featured on radio segments, including Blog Talk Radio. Through clients of her boutique, she was a invited to speak for several charity, non-profit organizations such as New Day Services, Easter Seals, Catholic Charities and many others. Carolyn developed a reputation for her tasteful and insightful style shows and continues to work with businesses, Women groups and local clubs and organizations. Always with a goal to empower women through fashion and give back to her community.
Carolyn truly enjoys helping to empower women with the self-confidence that comes with a new look, individual style, and an enhanced, chic wardrobe, and she is always seeking out new opportunities with businesses, charities and individuals to help women feel empowered in their wardrobe in any way she can.
